The Caltech Housing Office is now accepting applications for
on-campus housing from students who have been admitted to
graduate study for the 2009-2010 academic year. New student housing
applications are accepted only from newly admitted Graduate Students
for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Special Graduate Students or Visiting Graduate Students should
apply for available housing options by submitting the Guest Housing
Application.
Newly admitted graduate students have priority to
receive on-campus housing in the Catalina Apartments or Avery House
their first year at Caltech. To be guaranteed a housing assignment,
new students without children must indicate at least two eligible
housing options on the application form and submit it online by
5:00 p.m.
Friday,
May 1, 2009. New student
housing applications received after the application deadline will be
accepted and assigned on a space available basis in order of date
received.
New students with children are eligible only for the two-bedroom
apartments and are also encouraged to apply for the off-campus
Caltech Lease Property two-bedroom units. For more information
and to apply, please see the
Lease property information and application.
Single new students with non-Caltech domestic partners are
eligible only for the Catalina one-bedroom apartments. Students in
this category cannot be guaranteed on-campus housing but are
assigned whenever possible on a space available basis after all
married couples and Caltech domestic couples have been placed. These
students may also apply for the off-campus Caltech-owned Lease
Properties. For more information and to apply, please see the
Lease property information and application.
